Am I correct in thinking that Miami's IP filter in effect allows access only
to specified IP addresses, but the firewall prevents all access unless
specifically allowed? These functions then seem to be logically inverted,
basically, with regard to means of specifying protection. But what is
the precedence relationship of the two Miami configuration settings? Can
one of them cancel out the other? I am not confident that I can set my
system up without making an error somewhere and thus accidentally leave
a hole in machine's network security.
