Given that there are two lists rather than three, the Miami list has to
double as a Miami(Dx) list, for topics relevant to both. This does mean
that MiamiDx users should subscribe to the Miami list as well, but I don't
think the amount of traffic exclusive to Miami (non-Dx) is that large. If
it were, it might make sense to have a third list.
An even better approach would be possible if the listserver were cleverer
about handling crossposts. It could send each crossposted message once to
each member of the union of the subscription lists, with the crossposted
address as the Reply-To:. Then posters could simply crosspost when
appropriate. As it is, however, this means sending duplicates to every
subscriber of both lists, which should only be done for fairly important
messages.
