I reinstalled 3.2b and now it seems to working fine.

I had Miami v3.0 installed and working fine. Since I was doing an
upgrade, I did as the "Readme_Upgrade" files stated:
i.e.
"When upgrading from earlier versions of Miami please observe"
"the following things:"
"Do NOT try to install Miami manually. You should use the enclosed"
"installation scripts, or strange things may happen..."
The install script detected that I had an existing install and verified
that I wanted to install the new file over the old. I pretty much DLed to
files from nodicglobal, unarced them, clicked on the install_miami icon
and went with the defaults.

I've come across this before. The GUI engine probably isn't the correct
one.
You could try manually copying the files into Miami:libs
You might need to do a complete re-install from scratch.
Question: Do you have 2 different versions of Miami on your machine? This
can cause lots of problems.
