He might simply be thinking that Java has a reputation for crashing
people's browsers (on other platforms) and was figuring that that
might be the same on Amiga if Amiga were to have a Java port.

My understanding is that Holger was looking for someone else to take over
the Daytona project from him.  He was going to sell whoever wanted it the
entire package, comprising his development-notes, sourcecode, and whatever
else there was.
