Yes, I've used the ASDG card with Miami and it works fine.
But be aware that there are several issues with this board.
First of all, there are several models available which run
at different clock speeds and thus support different baud
rates. For example, mine is the oldest model 0, runs at
approx 4.9 MHz and supports only powers of 2 multipled by
1200bps (19.2kpbs, 38.4kpbs, 76.8kpbs, etc). Try to get one of
the later models (6, 8 MHz ?) which support higher speeds.
Second of all, my modem (US Robotics V90)
supports high DTE speeds too, but not the same multiples:
the highest common speed supported by my ASDG serial board
and my modem was only 38.4kbps. So even though it worked
I couldn't take full advantage of my fast modem.
Thirdly, the ASDG driver is a bit of a CPU pig. I actually
disassembled the driver and built commented source for it
last year, looking for ways to speed it up. It wasn't
until I discovered limitation 2 above when I realized
only new hardware would help, not faster software.
Lastly, make sure you have the latest driver software for
the ASDG board. Ask around on comp.sys.amiga.* and
see if there is a newer version than what you have.
I had problems with mine until I got a newer driver from
someone on the newsgroups. ASDG is dead and gone, so
don't bother trying to get a new version from them.
You won't find it on Aminet either - you have to ask
around. Just for reference, I have this version:
