You don't need scripts to do this. In Interfaces, double click on
each interface, select Events and select auto-online.

I don't know about client connections (or connection values), but
there are easier ways to not have the GUI up by default and you
definitely don't have to have an icon sitting on WB with MiamiDx,
there is a control panel that can show and hide the GUI, indicate
which interfaces are online or offline and even give transfer data
about each interface if you want it to.
For this, in Interfaces, double click on each interface in turn and
select the control panel gadget. For your main internet interface,
select GUI default as well. Now, under GUI, select no GUI on startup
and deselect Show icon, then select control panel settings and select
Show on startup, Show control gadgets, Show onl/off gadgets and
whatever other gadgets you want (though I suspect that will be
sufficient for you).
Once you have done that, make a copy of the MiamiDx icon, change it to
a Project icon, add the default tooltype Miami:MiamiDx and put it into
your WBStartup drawer. Now MiamiDx will start every time that your
system reboots and it will put all interfaces online automatically.
Once you have adjusted where the control panel is to your liking, be
sure to save the settings from the MiamiDx GUI and then reboot (to be
sure that it is all working correctly).
