OK. Here is what I have on the main (AmigaU) webserver setup: (note where you
see an 'x', that's really a drive notation, as you may have your drive set up
with something other than the typical 'dh0', 'dh1', etc. Amiga drive notation).
'regular' Miami (registered - you can't use 'Events' in the shareware version);
in the Events section, I have it set to use 'CLI' and it is set to
execute dhx:miami/miamisysctl.txt
Then actually *in* that file, I simply have three lines:
cd dhx:miami
miamisysctl -w inetd.toomany=1000 >NIL:
endcli
Thus in this way, the script opens a CLI and runs that command as Miami starts
up after a reboot (I have Miami in WBStartup, *and* I have it set to 'kill
GUI' so it never starts a GUI unless I fire one up in later work on the
machine), the command outputs to NIL: to prevent a window from popping up and
then the CLI ends itself.
So this should work for anyone using a registered copy of 'regular' Miami.
This has worked on that machine for over a year, as that webserver has been in
service since March 27, 2000 when I announced the site.
I'll check on the other machine I'm trying to use Apache with (it has MiamiDx,
thus yes, you can set this in the GUI) and let you know how I have that set
up. If only Apache were as stable as Arexx webserver! I can't seem to keep
it 'on' for more than a couple days before the machine locks up and needs a
reboot. I'll keep you posted.
