It means someone tried to ping you, not once, but a whole series of them,
more than Miami thought was appropriate. It may have been just one or two
more, or masses more.
Unless you were doing some sort of network testing with someone, then
chances are that they were deliberately trying to nobble your connection,
or that they've accidentally pinged you, instead of someone else (while
faultfinding).
If you read the Miami manual, or other information on the net, you'll find
out what "pinging" is all about. But, simply put, it's a bit like using
SONAR, on a boat. You send a ping out (expecting a reply), and measure
the time difference between the two (for analysing delays), or just look
for any response (to see if a network connection exists between you).
