Hello Andreas

As an owner of X-Surf, I think I can let you in on my opinion... :)

The X-Surf is a really nice card. It's actually a bridgeboard with an ISA
ethernet card connected on it, rather than a custom-made Zorro card. It gets
the work done though, and even gives you some very nice extras, for very
little cost.

You can connect a Silver or Golden (like me) surfer on in, which gives you
extra serials and parallel, in the case of the Golden Surfer.

It has 2 A1200 clock ports, although I'm not sure if standard clock port
peripherals will work with the same software already available, or will
need a special version...

It also gives you 2 IDE ports, one 2.5" and one 3.5", although only PIO-0
mode, and only activated with IDEfix 2000 (which is not available yet, as
far as I know). This also means that they're not bootable. Should work fine
for a ZIP/CD-ROM/etc. though....

Hmm, if only we got to see a 10/100 card in that configuration (and
price?)..... :))))

Regards
