OK, now that the list is sorted... I finally have a turbo car, but it's not a Miata (though that could change...that's a different thread)
As both my girlfriend and her suitcase will fit in the Miata, but her suitcase won't fit in the trunk... a road-trip compatible vehicle was required. Hence, I picked up my boss' old Audi. He got an S8, I got his A6 2.7T. (Stick! Any other Audi guys out there want to make it worth Tom's while to do a run of Voodoo knobs?) One thing I noticed was that instead of BOVs, it has 'diverter valves' which dump boost back to the low-pressure side of the turbos. There's a vacuum signal that operates these, which I haven't totally worked out yet. Corky's book spends almost a full sentence on the subject, so I'm looking for comments on the relative merits of bypass/diverter valves vs. blow-off valves. -Zandr _______________________________________________ Miatapower mailing list [email protected] http://list.miatapower.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/miatapower
