Gotta love the drop top Beetle with a full load of passengers near the
end. If it had rolled like the others...
Something to be said for the relaxed attitude of those days. Not that
I'd put myself in that sort of danger, but we've gone too far in the
opposite direction lately.
The local BMW clubs don't allow any sort of convertible at track days
any more, regardless of whether it has a cage, harnesses, race seats,
etc. :-( Might be a national CCA thing, though local clubs might
override it.
