Yep, that method worked for me - I used a prybar to twist the PPF enough to
allow the diff to drop down since one of the bushings on the top of the PPF
wouldn't budge. Once the diff came free both of the metal bushings popped out.

No, they don't all have the sleeves IIRC.

Remove the bolts holding the spacer to the bottom of the nose of the diff,
twist the PPF out of the way and remove the spacer. Then just push up on the
PPF and it'll come off the sleeve.

Subject: NPC - frozen sleeve in diff.

Do all the late model diff. housings have sleeves without internal 14mm x 1.5
threads for disengaging it from the PP frame like the early models? That
appears to be the case on my '96 model diff housing. The earlier models have
the threaded sleeves, as do the '94 models per my FSM. This one seems to be an
oddball for some reason.

My sleeve is frozen and I can't get it to slide down. Any ideas? I've tried
heat and penetrating lube thus far. I can tap on the top of the sleeve with a
drift, though haven't got it to budge.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
