Hey y'all:
Gonna be logging off in a few days, leaving sultry South Carolina, and
heading home to Colorado. My new digs are up at 12,000' in the Sawatch
Range, about 10 miles from the road and farther from any utilities. Failing
invention of a wood & stone computer with passenger pigeon modem, I'll be out
of touch for at least the summer, and quite possibly for good. Good ol'
Rocinante, my long suffering Miata, will necessarily stay here in the capable
hands of dear wife Bird until we work out a more reasonable habitat for them
somewhere below timberline. I've thoroughly enjoyed the fine camaraderie on
these lists over the last few years, and will doubtless miss it a lot.
Here's hoping we'll meet again.
