“rate premiums according to the insured's income”….so now I should pay
more for my dental cleaning than the guy after me getting the same service
who earns less…… are you kidding me?!!! How about my car? Gas, food, water,
oil, beer, etc….
Besides – we’re already doing that – it’s called income tax – and that’
s broken too.

We're all paying different amounts now for most of what we buy. Regional
prices are different. The prices vary according to quality or options.
Sometimes we choose to pay more to get a product that we find "more
appealing"... The point is that people COULD afford to pay for health care
if
they earned enough, so why not price it according to our incomes? Only the
very wealthy would have higher premiums, and being that they ARE very wealthy
it would be pocket change to them. No arguing about equality, because
there has NEVER been economic equality in this nation, and the health care
debate is not going to change that.
