Was the car still in gear when the tach dropped? IOW, was engine still
turning, even though not running? Or you lost power and tach dropped to
zero when you pressed in the clutch, so the engine really was not
turning?

While I was driving my daughter home the tach dropped to 0 and wouldn't
restart. I was able to start it before coming to a stop each time. There
was no hesitation.....it just shut off.

The car was having idle issues...surging up and down when I would come
to a stop, but that was not happening today. The idle would drop slowly
from 2k but it didn't surge.

I have not changed any parts since my last crys for help....I was just
planning on driving it till fall and working on it through the winter.

Eric
