...also possibility that insulation has broken and two wires are now touching.
Would be smart to trace the wiring where any work was done recently, or where
switches may be loose or subject to vibration.

Typo correction:

My guess is that you probably have a short somewhere, possibly from wire
insulation having BEEN pulled or rubbed away, or a wire break, and now some
wire is touching metal, causing an amperage increase beyond the fuse capacity.
First, DON'T substitute a higher amp fuse.
Have you done any work on the gauges, gauge panel, or added any new gauges?
Did you install a new stereo or security system or a new ignition switch? If
so, it would be worthwhile to go back over the wiring involved and look for a
break,

Hello all, a few days ago the gauges in my 94 went dead, all but the
speedometer. Turn signals and cruise control became inoperable too. Looked
under the dash for a loose connector, not finding anything out of order. Check
the fuse box in the footwell and the "meter" fuse is blown. Replace the fuse,
start it up again and all seems fine, but just before pulling out of the garage
the gauges go dead again, same fuse is blown. Car still runs great, just seems
to have an unhealthy appetite for fuses. Any ideas?

Car is a '94 with 90k miles or so, FM2 turbo with Link ecu, though I don't
believe the issue is related to any of the mods, its been running great with no
issues for the 5 years I've had her.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

-Will
