Hello guys, My niece and her hubby (Air Force) have been relocated to England. They've been able to find a car on base, but have no clue where to find affordable auto insurance. American companies they've contacted all want outrageous sums to insure them in England, and USAA won't insure them because my niece had a couple (2 or 3 actually) of tickets in the last couple of years, all minimum fines for just over the limit in California, where they had previously been stationed. Her hubby has no tickets on his record. No accidents for either of them. The kicker in the USAA story is that USAA even refuses to insure the hubby ALONE! So the "typical" military auto insurer is a no-go.
Now, where do they find a LOCAL auto insurer that will cover them sufficiently for a reasonable cost? Any recommendations from the friends across the big pond? Thanks... Jerry AKA LGO
