The plastic windows fold down fine in cool weather. Cold weather it
what you need to be careful off. The plastic windows are fairly
flexible when new, but get brittle over time. I would recommend a
window protector in the fold. (Cheap solution: use pool noodle that is
covered with two tube socks).

As for the price of the rain rail.., its a lot less labor to use a new
one, and much less chance of having to quit the install halfway when
you realize you cannot salvage your old rain rail. I have installed
dozens of Miata tops and I would not even attempt to reuse a 92 rain
rail. On the other hand, if the rain rail was replaced a few years
ago, then I might be willing to salvage the rain rail.
