Ray do you have a circuit diagram for the Link MAP/knock box? I too have a bad knock circuit in mine. Will FM repair these boxes?

I've been through at least a dozen different sensors and wires on mine, and they only last a week, if that. I checked everything outside of that box so far. I didn't want to bother opening the map box because I figured I'd see a bunch of stuff that bothers me more than it does already. I gave up on trying to get a knock sensor to work back in like 2005; this is the first I'm seeing anything about a possible solution. Is it like the SerialLINK connections that the only solder joints that do anything break? If it's a component-level repair, do you know the replacement part# and where to get it? I used to do that for a living, so that would be awesome if it was something that simple. They are generally repairable though. Also the wiring from it to the ECU could be non-functional but that can be tested just by removing the map box and connecting a 1.5v battery to the knock & gnd wires (battery minus to gnd) and observing the knock level on the keypad. So far, I have: Replaced the knock sensor with a new sensor for a Saab (supposed to be a direct replacement) Replaced the RCA cable going from the knock sensor to the Link box Checked the resistance between the wire connections in the diagnostics box under the hood (that the knock sensor taps into) back to the end of the RCA harness to make sure I don't have any breaks in the wires. I am hoping to have the knock sensor working by the weekend so I can run it at the strip a few times and hopefully surprise a few people. I just don't want to take the chance of running it without the knock sensor and damaging the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
