Hello all, The motor in my miata finally let go running 20psi daily on 100 octane, looks like a cracked ring. I've already acquired a stock 1.6 with under 100k miles to swap in for hopefully another year of fun, but need to order some stuff before throwing it in the car.
It seems like a good idea to replace things like the main seals and oil pan gasket, pilot and throwout bearings, coolant hoses, maybe a light flywheel, and whatever else you guys recommend replacing before swapping the motors. I used to order OEM parts from a Mazda dealer in Alabama if I remember correctly but they closed up shop shortly after I last used them some years ago. What's the best place to order parts from these days? I'll be having the parts shipped to a California address and would prefer to avoid paying sales tax if possible.
