sorry if this double post but Ihave not recieved it.

I reciently bought a usb/fw hd for my computers. the package stated it was 
cross platform. and I have set it up that way.

I had to partition the drive on a win 2k system and then format it on a mac 
using the dos format optition.

it works great with windows what ever and mac os 8.6 - 9.1.

one of my mac is deul boot os 9/os x and when ever I boot it into X and the 
drive is connected it wants to reformat the drive.

does anyone know if there is a program that allows os x to read dos formated 
disks. that was one of the features of a mac that IMO made the os "better" 
then windoze.
