Subject: [microhydro] HELP
Good day, I have a large volume of water (20000cubic Metre per sec @ 6 Knots) with
little or no head. Is there any type of Hydro Power that I can utilise or install
without having to effect too much change or very little environmental damage? We are
in a game park & an ecologically perfect location. We require around 60 KW. Diesel
power is an option, but not a good one. We know of installed micro power systems in
the past, but have no knowledge of any suppliers. Can or could you assist please? What
I have seen further upstream (about 580Miles) is a 75KVA 220VAC turbine suspended
2metres from the bottom of two floating pontoons anchored offshore in the river's
flow & would like to acquire a similar set-up. The distance from the shore to a river
bottom depth (at our camp) of around 6 metres is only 4 or 5 metres into the river &
the flow is in excess of 20000Cu Metres per sec, but the river only falls approx
1metre in 900metres.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP?
Dear Sir,
Here is a list of all of the no-head companies that I have come across. My site is
the first one, and I think my Gravity Wheel design is the cheapest, simplest and the
best. But you can make that determination on your own!
