Dear Mr. Klunne,
I am currently in my 4th year at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh studying
Structural Engineeing with Architecture. For my 4th year I am preparing a
dissertation on waterwheels as a renewable energy source for rural housing.
I am keen to use a real-life project as a case study because it would give me
some boundaries to work within and would put my research and designs into an
economic and geographical context.
Are you working on any relevant projects? Do you know of any charities,
government research groups or other firms that are working in this area?
The project can be in Scotland or in a developing country. It would probably be
quite small, perhaps a rural or island community.
