You have decided from a beginning the hydro system set up.
The way you have described your system, just one type turbine or one 
arrangement is possible.

You have already "compromised" the efficiency and the set up.

Why the draft tube = what type of turbine you are thinking.

The length of the pipe from intake to turbine

Probably it would be best for you that you detail, carefully, what you have 
in mind, the reasons for the turbine placement and what are the 
possibilities of changing the arrangement you have decided to have.
