Happy Bottom is just what we call our OTG homesite. We've been on Solar
for about 8 years. Here in Tennessee, we get enough cloudy and rainy
weather that we need an alternative. We have a good wet weather stream
that dumps over a 130 ft. bluff, so we have started to engineer/build a
hydro system. The Progress so far is documented in the Photo section
under Happy Botom Power & Light.

The first challenge was to get the water over to the bluff at a point
where a penstock down the bluff could be built. That has been
accomplished with 450' of 4" PVC.

Next we'll build the steep part with 350' mor 4" and then install the
high voltage turbine (about to be ordered) and wire it 700' to the
house.

More Photos as we proceed.
