Hello all, Here is another question for the group. I am intending to use an induction motor as a generator. I am in the US planning to move to Chile where the frquency is 50 Hz. I am collecting the equipment here as I am not sure what will be available in Chile. Most motors here are rated for 60 Hz. Is there a fundamental difference in the design between a 50 and 60 Hz machine, or is it just a matter of derating the horsepower and amps?
Thanks for all the help so far, this group has really been giving. Martin ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
