Steve: Your "Guru" told me all I need to know in his statement "What I am proposing is nothing more than a hydrostatic drive". Translation, you have not built one yet, not even a prototype. That is a fact that you do not make clear either in your posts or on your website.
Secondly, The guru's claim of 95% drive efficiency is plain BS. The most efficient hydraulic pump/motor is the Kasmer Hydristor. He claims 94.7 percent efficiency for a single unit. (And there are experts that question his figures) But, if you give him the near 95% he (Kasmer)claims, two of them (to make a drive system) would drop it to 90%. The figure for friction losses in the piping or hose will vary with the diameter and distance, but if we just say 10 percent for a short distance, your drive efficiency is now 80 percent. So, your "guru's claim of 95% percent efficient drive system is something akin to promising to deliver perpetual motion. So, IF you ever build one, be sure to post your results. I'll be very interested in hearing about them. But until then, it is a waste of time to debate them.
