CalNet would like to announce that our CalNet Deputy Training is now
available online via UC Learning.

To become a deputy, you must do both of the following:

   - Submit an application, Application for Departmental CalNet Deputy
   <http://ist.berkeley.edu/files/calnet_deputy081220.pdf> (PDF) it in one
   of two ways.

The application can be signed by an authorized departmental official for
your department and faxed or mailed to Client Services (the address and fax
   information is on the form).

The form can be emailed to Client Services ([email protected]) by the
sponsor whose name appears in the "Departmental Authorization" section of
   the form.

   - Take our new training course using the UC Learning Center

site
on Blu (https://blu.is.berkeley.edu) . Search for "CalNet Deputy".

Our hope is to prevent down time due to travel and scheduling while
providing a more efficient, updated and improved process for approved
applicants to become new CalNet Deputies. It also frees up multiple
resources such as our instructors and secure computer labs that were needed
in the past to provide this type of training in person.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Best,

Heather
