Folks, I've recently (in the past couple of weeks or so) been getting an unusual iTunes error message when I sync my iPad. The message occurs after the sync (and backup) have apparently completed, although I'm concerned that whatever is causing the error message might be adversely affecting the result of the sync.
Here's the text of the message, which appears in a popup window (that must be dismissed by clicking 'OK'):* * *Attempting to copy to the disk "DATA" failed. An unknown error occurred (-54) * ("DATA" is just the name of my D disk, where I keep most of my stuff). I've already checked that I have "Full Control" permissions (as an admin) on my entire "iTunes" folder and its sub folders. Anyway, this problem doesn't occur when I sync my iPhone. I should also say that I don't sync a lot of things. For example, I don't sync Contacts or Calendars. Mostly what I sync is apps and their data. My iPad (and iPhone) are running the most current *iOS* version (9.2.1). Also, my iTunes is current (version 12.3.2.35, 64-bit, on Windows 10). Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks.
