Must have 8+ years of experience
Required Vendor/Certification : CISSP and vendor-specific certifications
such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Nokia, Qualys;
experience in local area network planning, design, configuration,
installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring,
maintenance, enhancement, and security management;
Proficiency in applying host based security;
Knowledge in the areas of networking, firewalls (multi-vendor), OS
hardening, and web-based applications;
Extensive experience in setting up and troubleshooting of multi site, multi
firewall, multi VPN deployments in support of B-to-B, e-Commerce, and other
related business projects between Governmental Agencies and 3rd-party
organizations
*DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE*
- Hands-on knowledge of Data Center scoping/capacity
planning/installation
- Previous experience in managing carrier-class networks for
Telecommunication Companies or Security Service Providers
- Knowledge of CityNet security and network infrastructure, as well as
Web facing applications hosted by the City of NY
