This is a long term contract (over a year), *a phone screen then face to face interview*. * * *1)Config Manager* Our Client is working with a large government agency in the data center, which is responsible for the system operation and stored data for the business operations. Our client has an immediate need for a highly motivated Principal Information Technoligist. Skill requirements The candidate must possess a minimum of 6 years of specific experience in the design, analysis, implementation and arcitectue of IT Asset Management, Configuration Identification, Aspect Configuration from a configuration management stand point. . The position requires experience in analyzing Asset Management & Inventory Control business processes at a expert level. There is currently not a solid process, so, knowledge of how to track every change is key (i.e. how to store, how to scheme, how to change, etc.) The candidate must have a strong in configuration management from a infrastructure perspective. Candidates must have experience functionally working across separate servers. Having said that they will need experience with storage tools such as CMDB. The end client’s choice of tool will be uCMDB or HP universal CMDB. The position requires expertise in multiple ways to set up a CMDB and they must have experience with federated CMDB’s. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical. Candidate must be able to effectively interact with all levels of customer staff, and be able to flourish in a government contract setting. Candidate should be able to adapt to a changing environment. Education An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or equivalent work experience. ** ITIL certification is a must. The position requires experience in analyzing IT Asset Management & Inventory Control business processes at a senior level. Skills include but are not limited to the following: - Experience installing, configuring, customizing and administering HP U* CMDB* in the production enviornment - Experience using HP Connect IT software to administer integration senarios between HP U*CMDB* an other third party application/databases is a must. - Experience with federating data from HP Asset Manager and HP Service Center into HP U*CMDB*. - Experience with Oracle DB installation and administration - Data modeling in both logical and physical models - ETL - DB programming and complex SQL The DBA will be working closely with the configuration manager to help out with the CMDB. Candidates must be able to work across multiple platforms. The candidate must have a strong experience in physical entity. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
