Take day to day requirements to provision storage and troube shoot performance and other related storage issues. Identify any issues and escalate to the appropriate level of management. Develop action plans and Root Cause Analysis (RCA'S) when required.***Applicant must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following: Ability to excel in a high-profile, high-demand environment. Excellent knowledge of HP, HDS and IBM storage arrays and storage provisioning in a high profile environment Enterprise distributed environments. Enterprise data center migrations, virtualization and consolidation. Planning, designing and solutioning SAN storage solutions. NAS expertise would be a plus. Working knowledge of Project Management tools, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and word documents. Able to work with all levels of management to complete projects successfully. Meeting facilitation. Business Analysis. Requirments Gathering. Developing detailed cost estimates. Financial analysis. Expert problem solving skills and making recomendations and implementing solutions to resolve those problems.. Utility/Energy business acumen. Infrastructure technologies including: Unix (Sun & AIX), Wintel, VMWare/ESX, Citrix/Metaframe, Web (IIS & Weblogic), Shared Storage (SAN, NAS, SATA) & Veritas. Directory Services (Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, etc.). Messaging, MicroSoft Exchange. Understand architectural design challenges, concepts and solutions. Business continuity and disaster recovery. High availability and clustering.Must be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently . Applicant must demonstrate the following qualities: Team player. Strong leadership. Good interpersonal skills. Must be adept at at architectural design for storage infrastructure and architecture to ensure storage request are completed accurately and on-time. while following the required ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem). *Position Two :Sr. Infrastructure Engr Strong on Tivoli Unix and SAN* Job Duties: 100%-Develop comprehensive, operationally sound and financially vialble backup solutions in support of the backup infrasturcture for th EFH/Oncor AMS program. This will also require reporting of backup success, failure and amounts backed up by client. applicant must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following: Ability to excel in a high-profile, high-demand environment. Expert knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and Symantec Net-backup architecture and software. Expert knowledge of IBM and Sun/STK tape libraries Enterprise distributed environments. Enterprise data center migrations, virtualization and consolidation. Planning, designing and solutioning backup solutions Working knowledge of Project Management tools, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and word documents.
