*Title:Lead Java Developer/Architect Location:Baltomore,Md Rate:Open* Description: The Lead JAVA Developer/Architect candidate shall possess substantive Information Technology knowledge and have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting web services applications. The candidate must have demonstrated hands-on expertise in analysis of problems and technical requirements in computing, networking and application areas specified in a work order, and shall possess extensive experience in evaluating, implementing and supporting the use of appropriate solutions for these problems and requirements. S/he must understand all tiers of development as well as database connectivity and structure. S/he will serve as a lead developer for major projects and will develop requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems. The candidate will work without technical oversight or as the leader of a team as required. The candidate must be detail oriented and well organized, have superior oral and written communications skills, and be able to work well in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. S/he must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive goals, objectives and timelines. The candidate must have thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. S/he should be proactive and self-motivated; a team player who can adapt to changes in client requirements. The candidate must be able to read current code and hit the ground running and have the ability to research problems and provide solutions. Project management experience is desirable. Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture principals. Knowledge of business process modeling is a plus. Required Skills: At least 5 years of professional experience developing and supporting web services and supporting standards including, but not limited to J2EE, XML, SAML, SOAP, WSDL, WS-I, MTOM, TCPIP, SSL, TLS, PKI and applications such as IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1/6.1 and operating systems platforms, such as IBM Z/OS 1.9 and Sun Solaris 9. Experience with web service security is a plus. Experience with Rational Application Developer (RAD). Experience with Rational Software Architect (RSA) is a plus.
