This position requires expertise with all aspects of the application development process (i.e. analysis, design, development, implementation and support). Thorough and recent experience in implementing and supporting applications using JAVA and .NET technology is required. Experience and proficiency with SQL and accessing an Oracle DB are also a requirement of this position. * * *Qualifications :* · Five or more years of recent experience in software application design, development, installation and modification of systems using object oriented technologies. · Experience with software package installation and configuration · Experience supporting and maintaining interfaces between internal and external systems in a production environment · Three or more years of working experience with JAVA and .NET is required. · A working knowledge of and experience with web application development tools such as ColdFusion, .NET is desirable. · A thorough knowledge of Oracle and/or MS SQL Server DBMS is necessary. · Experience in the energy industry is preferred. · Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. · Ability to effectively document and communicate technical information on systems, operations, and procedures to all levels of IT and Business management · Experience formulating technical solutions to meet business requirements · Strong problem solving, analytical and technical skills · Good oral and written communication skills · Demonstrated ability to understand business needs in order to effectively apply new technologies and solutions *Degrees/Certifications:* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.
