*Need Consultant with Windows Installer experience*
*Location: Hillsboro, Oregon*
*Rate: $30-33/hr {MAX}*
*3 month contract with the possibility of going up to a year*
Years of Experience & Expertise Level: 3 years experience in which their
primary task was writing installation SW using *Windows Installer and/or
InstallShield.***
*Project Description:*
Implement and maintain the installation software for the mobile wireless
products using Windows Installer and InstallShield 12.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining installation
software for a Microsoft* Windows* platform using Windows Installer and
InstallShield*
- Working with engineers, architects, other stake holders to determine
product requirements
- Ensuring conformance to internal development guidelines and licensing
constraints
- Designing, implementing and maintaining support DLLs used by installation
software
- Documenting design and procedures related to installation software and
build processes
- Responsible for installing hardware drivers
- Configuring the OS, including Microsoft* Vista* firewall settings if
necessary
*Necessary Skills (Must Have):*
- Extensive Windows Installer experience (preferably 4.0)
- Extensive InstallShield experience (preferably version 12)
- Four years experience programming in C or C++
- Implementing DLLs for Microsoft* Windows*operating systems
- Strong technical background coupled with in-depth experience developing
software for Microsoft* Windows* operating systems
- Ability to apply creative solutions to complex installation problems
- Ability to troubleshoot software and/or hardware configuration problems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent written
and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on
technical challenges
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
