Sr. System Specialist
Location: NC
Specialization: Database / Data Warehousing
Target Rate: $OPEN
Description:
Responsible for integration and development of technology associated with
laboratory
automation and related systems. Follows development and validation
methodologies,
reports time on projects and specific aspects of the projects. Monitors the
performance
of all development and the deployed application. Will be working with the
Beckman
LIMS System software (LabManager) and will be integrating a Chromatography
system.
Experience with major Bioinformatics Software packages including, but not
limited
to, NCBI BLAST, TimeLogic, FPC, Clustalw, Cap3, Gbrowse (GMOD),
Phred/Phrap/Consed,
EMBOSS, MegAlign, Ensembl, Mauve, Arachne, MacVector.
5 or more years experience in systems analysis, database concepts, IS project
planning and problem solving skills. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical
Quality Assurance and related fields. Knowledge of client server systems,
Oracle
RDBMS and Microsoft Project required. Excellent oral and written skills
required.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. Advanced
degree
a plus.
