WebLogic / Solaris SysAdmin Consultant Irvine, CA & San Antonio, TX 12 months $40-45 C2C *A+ candidates only, please*… The Web Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of web applications. Requirements for the position include · *3 years web server administration (iPlanet/SunONE*); · *3 years web application server admin (WebLogic or WebSphere*) · Systems administration experience UNIX-based OS (*Solaris preferred*). · Sun Solaris 10 experience a major plus · At least *2 yrs deploying & supporting Java apps in a production environment*. · Understanding of *HTML code* and understanding of *TCP/IP concepts* are essential. · Ability to communicate effectively and strong troubleshooting skills are a must. · Strong working knowledge of *UNIX* commands and scripting (*sh*, *ksh*, *perl*) is also needed. · orking knowledge of *ClearCase/ClearQuest*, *CVS*, or other source control system, desired · Working knowledge for *Content Management systems* such as *Open Market*, desired · Financial services / securities / trading experience preferred Primary Responsibilities: · Provide support by configuring, deploying and administering all applications related to the development and production of a complex web environment · Perform content and application deployment and configuration. · Coordinate monitoring, capacity planning, high availability and systems scalability. · Implement and manage web security and disaster recovery in conjunction with appropriate corporate IT and audit · Internal user/business support · Developer support · Web infrastructure maintenance · Must be flexible to work weekends & evenings Skills · The ability to learn and adapt to new technologies rapidly. · Understanding of not only the web environment, but also the network, security and database environments that the web applications are built around. · Understanding of Oracle database administration or programming basics is helpful. · High level of initiative and the ability to work both independently or with teams · Strong analytical skills · Efficiently manages multiple projects concurrently · Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing Customer focused Linda Monalisa Aim Computer Consulting N.
