Project Description:
Testing wireless communication in the range 2GHz to 6 GHz; including but not
limited to: transmitter fidelity and receive sensitivity, modulated
measurements in dynamic radio configurations (EVM, phase error, spectral mask,
etc.), cascaded chain analysis (Noise figure, gain distribution, dynamic range,
etc.)
Daily Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to test the protocol and performance aspects of
Wireless Connectivity technologies such as WLAN and WiMAX with focus on RF
testing. Candidates will be involved in test planning & execution, report bugs
found and work with development engineers for resolution, creating, maintaining
& modifying automation scripts and working with Software and Systems engineers.
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
Should have hands -on experience using oscilloscopes, digital multi-meter,
spectrum analyzer, signal generators, logic analyzer etc.
Have a thorough understanding of test parameters and their impact on the RF
spectrum.
Familiar with FCC/RF Emissions Regulatory Process and Requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge in wireless networking 802.11, and 802.16.
Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed
Candidates should be detail oriented and have good verbal and written
communication skills.
Teamwork and good inter-personal skills are a must.
Understanding of signal processing techniques for digital communications
protocols, parametric measurements (power, frequency, modulation) and signal
modulation and demodulation is a plus, in particular OFDM based air interfaces.
Understanding of modern software development tools, such as version control,
compilers, bug tracking, debuggers, profilers and analyzers is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer
Engineering or closely related field.
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
Ability to work with Linux Operating System.
