*Sr. Java Developer*.  Below is the description.  Candidates will have to
sit on site at the client* *in *Denver**, CO*.  The manager will initially
conduct phone screen and then if needed conduct an in-person interview.

SQL/Oracle, BEA Weblogic or Aqualogic (specifically ALSB and ALBPM), ILOG

*Sr. Java Developer *

The senior software developer creates high quality software, sets the
example for other developers, has some interaction with internal and
external clients, and has limited direction from the manager of software
development. The incumbent will serve as one of the subject matter experts
in the field of software development, mentor lower level developers, consult
on and provide hands-on software development in their field.



1.       Sets the example in all aspects of software development. Delivers
high-quality products and drives the working culture to keep the application
development projects on time and on budget.

2.       Leads efforts to ensure that the business requirements of a
software development project are understood and met.  Gathers additional
information from any and all resources.

3.       Develops high quality design documents.

4.       Creates programming specifications.

5.       Participates in and/or leads code reviews as assigned.

6.       Creates high-quality software (code) to specification. Ensures all
code written is thoroughly unit-tested before releasing it to the project
library.

7.       Creates software that is compatible with the software system's and
organization's architecture and that delivers business results.  This may
include paying attention to reusability factors and coding standards.

8.       Conducts and participate in system testing, including load,
integration, and user testing).

9.       Mentors on and assists in the development of user documentation.

10.    Mentors on and assists with application deployment.

11.    Prepares technical documentation.

12.    Communicates with project managers and technical leads about issues
within the project/solution being developed.

13.    Assists and mentors other developers as needed. This will include
participating in formal technical reviews, informal technical discussions,
and other communication methods. This ranges from the passive (maintains
availability) to the active (discovers and disseminates useful information).

14.    Assists with the maintenance of PSI technologies'
development/test/production environments. This includes specific
responsibilities for maintaining a project-specific development environment,
as well as general responsibilities for helping maintain the PSI
Technologies developer network and developer area.

15.    Adheres to the training requirements for PSI tech staff as described
in the training guidelines.

16.    Assists in presentations to various audiences.

17.    Manages the workload of lower level developers. Tracks assignments to
ensure that conflicts do not exist and that developers are productive and
challenged at all times.

18.    Mentors, sets priorities for, and provides feedback to lower level
programmers.

19.    Regular and predictable attendance is required.

20.    Other duties as assigned.



*Education, Experience & other Attributes-*

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or information
systems management, required. An equivalent combination of education and
experience may be substituted.

·         A minimum of five (5) years required, seven (7) years preferred in
software development or software engineering in a large sized enterprise
with a mature software development lifecycle (SDLC) involving Software
Configuration Management processes.

·         *Experience in J2EE, Java, EJB, XML and UML required.  Experience
in SQL/Oracle, BEA Weblogic or Aqualogic (specifically ALSB and ALBPM), ILOG
JRules preferred.*

·         Solid experience and expertise in software development
technologies required.  Experience with the systems design and development
process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software
design, programming, and utilization of methodologies of the SDLC (e.g.,
piloting and iterative software development, deployment, and support)
required.

·         Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels within the
organization and with all levels of technical competency
