*Need: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL.*
*Location: Houston, TX. {Should come for F2F after phone}*
*Rate: $45-50/hr. *
*Duration: Long Term. *
*Need Senior (9-10 years) Oracle Developer* for a long term contract
opportunity. The Oracle Developer will be responsible for designing,
developing, implementing, tuning and maintaining Oracle packages,
procedures, functions, triggers, tables, and indexes. Programmer will
develop, test, document and implement PL/SQL code to meet specified
requirements. This position will include the development and maintenance of
various batch job logic. Other responsibilities include:
• Lead/mentor several Oracle Developers
• Schedule and lead team meetings
• Develop and document executable code according to functional and
technical specifications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing processes using PL / SQL with
thorough understanding of the processes and interrelationship with other
programs and processes.
• Data extraction, transformation and loading
• Support management in recommending process enhancements and analyze
new procedures to enhance efficiency.
*Skills and Experience:*
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of experience with Oracle 9i/10g functionality and PL/SQL
development
• Experience with Oracle SQL*Loader, TOAD and SQL Navigator
• Experience with MS Access, Excel is a plus
• Knowledge of tuning utilities such as Explain Plan and TKPROF.
• Familiarity with Rule versus Cost Based Optimizers and the usage of
hints.
• Working knowledge of partitioning concepts and experience in
estimating table sizes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of program development processes, technical
project management, software testing and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills both technical and
user focused.
• Experience with Windows and UNIX-based operating systems.
• Financial background preferred.
