You will have minimum of 12 - 15+ years of related experience, including 8+ years of demonstrated ability in the information technology and/or systems engineering technology area. You will be responsible for working closely with the business product owners to understand requirements and advise on technical solutions and feasibility. Will work closely with the agile development teams to design, build and deliver Web2.0 / Social Media / Collaboration solutions to production. Will be the technical expert on a project/release team; responsible for the technical success of a project or group of projects. Takes ownership of escalated issues, decide between competing solutions and arbitrates between project teams in a release. May be involved in mentoring Scrum teams on design and coding best practices, web2.0 and social networking applications, and reuse opportunities. Works with the Architecture and Strategy teams within Kaiser to research new technology and development approaches and create best practices around them. Advises on optimal work breakdown to allow releases and projects to take advantage of reuse, standard designs/frameworks and web services. Provides assistance with, and review of, the load testing team's test plans and test cases to ensure early and appropriate load testing is done. Works with project Technical Leads to identify critical/new components for early performance profiling or load testing. Ensures release conforms to all security standards and other non-functional requirements. Creates, socializes and mentors the use of design and coding best practices and standards. Will have experience with both Java and .NET platform tools for software development, Web2.0 & Collaboration technologies, particularly from Jive Software, Quickr, Sharepoint, Documentum. This is a very hands-on Technical Architect position. The ideal candidate will be very proactive and self directed and be equally comfortable coding in Java and/or .NET as presenting technical concepts and designs to senior leaders in the group. She/he will take initiative in solving complex technical problems in areas which may be outside their technical expertise and coming up with original solutions and design approaches to new project requirements. |
