Position: Websphere Architect
Location: Long Island, NY
Duration: Long Term

Project Description:
Analyze and understand user requirements, design solutions for those
requirements and write specifications. Design applications using Java
(design, programming, implementation and unit testing)
Participate in code reviews. Provide accurate estimates of assigned task
effort for inclusion in project planning. Prepare reports, manuals and other
documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software Share
knowledge and information on new technologies with the other team members.
Skills/Experience:
Multiple Websphere product experience is a must ( Application Server, MQ,
MQSI)
Understand and architect solutions on websphere platform involving multiple
websphere products.
Proficient in the administration of Websphere Application Server ND versions
6.1.
Highly proficient with Unix variant operating systems. (AIX, Solaris, Linux)
Ability to evaluate, install, test, configure, maintain, monitor performance
of and troubleshoot WebSphere applications. A good understanding of concepts
related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts.
Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.(Unix, Networking, DMZ,
Firewalls, J2EE, Web and Application Servers) UNIX scripting skills.
Creation and support of automation scripts, e.g. log rotation and plugin
migration, configuration automation. Thorough understanding of Java/J2EE
concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, EJB, JNDI, etc&) required. Understanding of
security concepts and their application on the WAS environment.
Ability to follow, improve upon and create processes required for effective
systems administration.
Exceptional organizational, documentation and communication skills
