Sorry, I wasn't very specific. If you're on JDK 1.4, Middlegen will generate
a file called xxx-prefs.xml in the folder specified by the prefsdir
attribute. xxx is the value of the appname attribute. See the
middlegen/samples/build.xml <middlegen> task.
If you're not on JDK 1.4, Middlegen will not save the preferences, so the
changes you make in the gui will not be remembered between each run. In that
case, you must *explain* for me what the cardinality/directionality is.

Well, the PostgreSQL driver has been buggy, but I have managed to get a
working one from the author, Chris Shaw. It's in CVS.
Try again with that driver, and everything should be OK.
