I so enjoy it when Emile gets all frothy..I have a picture of you jumping 
up and down, swearing and pounding the desk ( don't wake up the little 
one)...probably not true but a good image none the less....

<rant mode on>That's because Netscape, in their infinite wisdom, used
their own very non-default name resolver in the browser. That's why you
can type in 'netscape' in the location bar and end up at
http://www.netscape.com. It tries to do something equally <hawk-spit!>
clever with localhost.

Your best option is to use the real hostname, not localhost (and the
IP that goes with it).
