I figured it out without any complications.  Thank you both for your help.

I had changed my admin password after turning authentication off on all of
my hosts.  Don't know what caused that and haven't been able to recreate
it.  Manually updating the table in SQL fixed the problem.  I assume it
was all just a mistake at my end, not a bug.  Also, set info=1 will do the
same as set info='auth'.
