I like these a lot more...for one thing I am guessing, though I don't have
the web216 palette memorized, that this will compress as a gif much better
(legal issues not withstanding) The second one also has some of the look
and feel of the current page and I think some nod to continuity would be a
good thing. It would be a good thing to make gif,psd and eps versions of
these available on the website... I have been back to thinking about
writing a simple PDF one page leaflet/brochure (what ever) and having a
good eps would make my life much easier, once that is done I was going to
turn it around into a flash presentation...not to steal Alan's thunder...

Subject: [midgard] Midgard logo - proposals

Hi,

Here are a few proposals for Midgard logo redesign, drawed by
Valerie Francois from Aurora. These logos are not final, just some
directions and now we need your feedback.

The problem of the actual Midgard logo is that it's quite "heavy"
and difficult to display or print on various supports. Valerie tried to
simplify it, while preserving its identity as much as possible.

There are 2 sets of logos:

    - "mgdlogos_1.jpg" : Preserving the lowercase letters: "Midgard".
Problem: The 'g' destroys the alignment.

    - "mgdlogos_2.jpg" : Uppercase letters : "MIDGARD". More change from
the original, but looks much more consistent IMHO.

    Jean-Philippe.
