Friday, Feb 19, 2010 - There was a Ruby-crowned Kinglet at the Saugerties Lighthouse trail this afternoon. The river was wide open but not much waterfowl other than a single Mutant Swan. Any reports from Esopus Meadows ?
Meanwhile back in Copake in the middle of nowhere in Columbia County, there is a Fox Sparrow wintering over. Nearby on High Meadow Rd there is the mother lode of Wild (organic) Turkeys with over 200 counted one day. I hope they feed on ticks. Frank Murphy Copake Lake, NY Columbia County (Land O Ticks)
