I was just looking over what I typed for my 5/1 Vassar Farm topic, and realized I missed one important sighting! I finally saw the Brown Thrasher at Vassar Farm! I located the Thrasher around the eco ponds near the power lines.
He was singing on the tip of a branch, then dived into a brush shortly after. I snapped a photo as proof. So far, that brings my tally to 3 around Poughkeepsie alone (2 separate ones at Peach Hill & this one at Vassar). Happy birding!
