Decided to go to Peach Hill after work today, even though I got there at about 5:30 pm. Despite only two hours of quality light for photography, I had a great birding day. My highlight of the hike was two male orchard orioles, a first sighting for me. I managed to get a decent photo of one of them, but they were chasing each other all over the place.
Here is my sighting list (27 total species): ============================================ - Turkey Vulture - Red-Tailed Hawk - Mourning Dove - Ruby-Throated Hummingbird - Belted Kingfisher - Downy Woodpecker - Northern Flicker - Eastern Kingbird - Blue Jay - American Crow - House Wren - Eastern Bluebird - Gray Catbird - Northern Mockingbird - Brown Thrasher - Cedar Waxwing - Blue-Winged Warbler - Yellow Warbler - Common Yellowthroat - Eastern Towhee - Song Sparrow - Northern Cardinal - Rose-Breasted Grosbeak - Red-Winged Blackbird - Orchard Oriole (2 of them!) - Baltimore Oriole - American Goldfinch Photos to follow. :)
