After waiting for about one hour between 5 and 6 PM today (June 20th), I saw
and photographed one of the MISSISSIPPI KITES perched on a dead ash on
Mapletown Road in the Town of Root, Montgomery County. The bird remained for
a long time and seemed unperturbed by my presence as I sat and photographed
from my car parked on the shoulder of the road. I posted a couple of the
pictures on the Hudson Mohawk Bird Club's Yahoo site:
